My top stock to buy in February is developing a new way to discover drugs.

My pick this month is a drug developer, so it’s a very high risk investment. And it’s best suited for those who have a long term mindset and are seeking growth. Now, drug development has one obstacle in particular and that is the complexity of biology. This is why we have to run clinical trials in the first place. You know, it’s one thing to find a compound that seems to have activity in some disease. But until we run that in clinical trials, we really can’t be too confident in what we see in a petri dish or even in animal studies.

So my company is working to reduce the complexity of biology. We can’t eliminate it yet. We’re not even close to that. But it’s going up and introducing engineering principles to the drug discovery and drug design process. This could fundamentally change how we discover drugs. It could be used in multiple therapeutic areas, and I even think it could be used outside of medicine one day.
